Discofox Steps

verfasst von Kenny Meesters E-Mail, Eindhoven, Netherlands, 30.04.2006, 21:48

Hello, everybody and excuse me for writing in Englisch but my German isn't as good as it used to be (nor is my English but anyway).

I have question about the Discofox. In my dancing school we've learned the Swingfox, which is basically a foxtrot (two steps forward, 1 to the side and close, then two steps back, 1 to the side and close). Of course with some variations but always two slows(either forward or in a variation) and two quick (the side close, or backwards and return in a varation).

Could you indicate the difference with Discofox, because when we goto Germany for (student)competions, the Discofox is oftenly danced. Perhaps you can help me to figure the basic steps. I know it's hard via internet but it would be very helpfull. Perhaps via video/msn?

Thanks in advance!

ps. I've heard that the basic step was something like two steps forward, a tap and two steps backwards?
